Eeps! It’s August already. And not even for much longer! I’m uncertain about how that happened so quickly. Perhaps you’ve noticed that there hasn’t been a ton of chatter from Say Hi land lately and you’ve been asking, “Hey man, what gives?” Well, while it’s true that I’ve been whispering on the outside, let me tell you how loud it’s been on the inside (DBs higher than a Mogwai show). Immediately following our North American jaunt in the spring, I found myself working on a plethora of film-related activities: an actual full-length original score and some fun single song one-offs. It’s far too early to get into the details, but I’m hopeful you’ll get to hear the fruits of my labor at various points next year. I’ll, of course, keep you in loop when it’s time. Everything is all wrapped up now, so I’ve closed the SMPTE window and have gotten back to making some good ol’ fashioned rock and roll. In fact, just the other day I started recording what will likely become the next record. That of course means some more chatter silence for a while, but I’ll make sure to check in about my progress when it’s appropriate. Regardless, dear reader, I do hope you are well …
